§M-I.1 BOCA National Mechanical Code.

(1) "The BOCA National Mechanical Code, Eighth Edition, 1993" as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Incorporated, is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of the City of Philadelphia, with such additions, deletions and amendments as set forth in § M-I.2.

§M-I.2 Changes to the BOCA National Mechanical Code.

§M-I.2.1 The BOCA National Mechanical Code adopted by § M-I.1, copies of which are on file with the Department of Licenses and Inspections, is incorporated as if fully set forth herein, subject to the following additions, deletions and amendments:

§M-I.2.1.1 Throughout the code, the phrase as "...listed in Chapter 21..." is deleted.

§M-I.2.1.2 Throughout the code, the term "NFiPA" shall be replaced with "NFPA".

§M-I.2.1.3 All references to "NFiPA 72E" shall be replaced with "NFPA 72".
§M-I.2.1.4 Throughout the code, the phrase "...fire protective signaling system..." shall be replaced with "...fire alarm system..."

§M-I.2.1.5 Throughout the code, the words "firestop", "firestopping" and "firestopped" shall be replaced with the words "fireblock", "fireblocking" and "fireblocked" respectively.
