(1) Any office, department, board or commission of the City, including City Council and the Mayor, and any public authority or non-profit corporation supported in whole or in part from the City Treasury, which publishes a formal report or other formal publication concerning the exercise of its duties which is to be made available to the public shall promptly transmit at least one copy of that report to The Free Library of Philadelphia.

(2) The Free Library shall maintain as part of its collection the copy of the official report or other formal publication transmitted to it under this section.
