CHAPTER 2 ELECTION OR APPOINTMENT
§3-203. City Solicitor.
The Mayor, with the advice and consent of a majority of
all the members of the Council, shall appoint the City Solicitor.

Purposes: The advice and consent of the Council to the
appointment by the Mayor of the City Solicitor are required because under the
Charter the City Solicitor is to serve as legal advisor to the Council as well
as to the Mayor.
