Any dismissal or demotion after the completion of the required probationary period of service, or suspension of any employee in the civil service shall be for just cause only.

Purposes: This section establishes a standard for the dismissal or demotion of any employee after the completion of a probationary period or the suspension of an employee in the Civil Service. The standard established is that of just cause. The standard is to be applied by the employee's superior and is subject to review only by the Civil Service Commission.
